Acid reflux can cause gas to get trapped in your gut and as air always trys to find the highest point it can cause pressure that can be felt in your shoulders, and can be quite painful! It happens after some surgeries as well! The reason they dont want you to chug antacids if you have shoulder, neck and arm pain is because these are the symptoms of a heart attack and as the initial pain of both acid reflux and heart attacks is the chest/abdo area, the manufacturers want you to be sure what you are treating! Sometimes taking antacids can make it worse!!!have you been checked for a stomach ulcer??
