Having several nosebleeds myself they are easily stopped with pressure and the proper positioning. First you do not want to tilt your head back you can choke on your own blood and it could drain into your lungs. Now get a cloth and pinch your nose right around the bridge of your nose and sit slightly forward. This way the blood drains out and not into your lungs. Place an ice pack on the back of your neck. This will help to clot the blood, and bring your temperature down a bit to make blood flow slower. Once the bleeding had stopped do not clean the inside of your nose, you can blow the clot this way and you will start bleeding again. Leave your nose alone after the bleeding has stopped and you will be just fine.

    She stocks cocaine wafers at least once a week… She says it’s for stopping nosebleeds… But that doesn’t seem plausible… Maybe though… How is it used?

    I have a bad problem with nosebleeds; a sneeze, exercise, or sometimes no apparent reason will set it off. I had the affected nostril chemically cauterized with silver nitrate but after the procedure I had little, if any, improvement. Is there anything else that can be done?
