Sinus infections occur when the paranasal sinuses–air cavities in the head–become filled. Many people experience occasional sinus infections but some people have recurrent sinus infections which are known as sinusitis. I would suggest going to a specialist, a pulmonologist! It appears that you have chronic bronchitis or even asthma and yes mold is a big issue! The specialist can do a few non-invasive tests to check your lung capacity! I dont know if your doctor ever gave you a nebulizer treatment!I suffer similar to you and honestly, not too many medications have been useful! What has helped is drinking something hot! So drinking coffee helps me! Of course you could drink hot tea and try hot chocolate ( sometimes milk products will create more mucus)! Unfortunately I hate soup, but Ive heard that the steam and ingredients in chicken soup helps! Chicken soup is even nicknamed Jewish penicillin! Also, see if you could spend a few nights over at a friends or familys house to role-out any allergens at home! I tried for myself, but it wasnt successful! The cold outside provokes my asthma but as weird as it sounds inside, the air conditioner helps! While driving and if I start coughing, I will shut the vents and turn on the air conditioner, again this helps!Sometimes I will take an OTC generic Sudafed with pseudoephedrine! This also has help, if not more than the prescribed medications! I dont know how old you are, so you may have to check with your pharmacist or physician!Hopefully this has been useful, I know it really sucks especially when no one else really understands! Good Luck!Edit: Spent days in Canada, California, Florida, Arizona-deserts, mountains, beaches all without success! Had some relief in Costa Rica got to check that out!
