How does the medicine in a nebulizer help you to breathe?

A nebulizer helps you breath by changing asthma medication into a mist, so that it can be more easily inhaled into the lungs! Any Suggestions here?

A nebulizer will vaporize or atomize a medication into the air so it can be inhaled into the lungs where it will be effective at making the lungs more efficient during an asthma attack. Source:http://www.webanswers.com/misc/how-does-a-nebulizer-help-an-asmatic-breath-17dec4

Hi, if you are having your oxygen monitored, it must be because your doctor is concerned about the possibility that your oxygen level is not always what it should be! It is important that you share this information with the physician who is treating you! He may perform tests to see if you need supplimental oxygen or decide to have you undergo a sleep study according to what he or she finds to be indicated! The damage caused by smoking cannot be reversed, but with the right medical treatment, you can have a much improved quality of life for many years to come! It is of the utmost importance that you live tobacco free and to take any respiratory medicines with regularity! One thing that I might suggest is that during these times that you are short of breath, exhale slowly with your lips pursed with COPD it takes more time to get the air out of your lungs! Your doctor should be able to give you tips on some lifestyle accommodations that will help you to continue to be active! Give yourself more time to do things! I wish you well and breathe easy!
