Can folic acid play the role of Vitamin B12 if Vitamin B12 is not present in Human body?
It depends on the reason for your hair loss! If it is natural male baldness then I wouldnt expect vitamins to make any difference! However, if you have alopecia, then this can certainly be caused by a B12 or other mineral deficiency, such as zinc or magnesium! It is safe to supplement with B12 but I wouldnt do it for zinc or magnesium as you can take too much of these! Best idea is to get your levels properly tested to see if any of those mentioned are deficient!
While B vitamins do "help unlock the energy in foods," just about everyone in America already gets all of the B vitamins they could possibly need in their diets.
