It sounds possible that your boyfriend has a surgical site dehiscence (which means A rupture or splitting open, as of a surgical wound) at the site where his appendix was removed! This needs to be checked right away! If a dehiscence has occurred then fecal matter (poop) could be getting in the abdomen which can lead to a really horrible infection and possibly death if left untreated!Is that warning enough to get to take him to the ER!
