What is a white round pill 397?

The round white pill with the imprint 397 is Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg! Metformin is used in the treatment of diabetes, type 2; insulin resistance syndrome; female infertility; and polycystic ovary syndrome! It belongs to the drug class non-sulfonylureas! Any Suggestions here?
