    i have always fed my 2 kids a healthy diet, fruit, veg, oily fish, etc…..but i would like to know what foods to avoid, to see if that would help my eldest son to calm down a bit, and also just for our health too.

    They are having trouble eating their flake food and leave some of it uneaten and is causing my tank to become extremeley dirty. I know I am not overfeeding them and give them the right amount of food, they just don’t seem to like it very much.

    It contains celery powder which is loaded with Nitrates. That’s not what I would call organic or natural, it’s as bad as any other hot dog.

    It seems that this additive is in more and more foods these days. I am having problems finding soups or ground sausage without it. I get head-aches when I consume it. Can anyone help?

    Sodium nitrate is sometimes called saltpeter. It is used as a preservative. In my case, I want to use it to make ham.

    I’ve heard pregnant women shouldn’t eat food contianing nitrates. On store bought packages of pepperoni it shows one of the ingredients is sodium nitrate. Does that mean I shouldn’t eat pepperoni pizza?

    Silver nitrate is used in labs to determine the quantity of sodium chloride present in food products. Silver nitrate reacts with sodium chloride in a 1:1 ratio, shown in the following equation: AgNO3 + NaCl –> AgCl + NaNO3.

    He cannot eat food with nitrates such as hot dogs, etc. There is so much out there that has sugar, even naturally. What are some ideas of what he might be able to eat and be willing to try and may like?

    I am also allergic to eggs, strawberries, all berries, shrimp, ketsup, wheat, grains and sugar. What kind of eating diet can I put myself on? I also cannot have Vitamin C or D, peanuts, spinach, sweet potatoes, coffee, or beans and no meats with nitrates or foods with nitrates.

    I get severe migraines so my doctor decided to put me on a diet that eliminates nitrates. I would just like to know what foods contain nitrates or high amounts of nitrates that I can avoid! Thanks :)
