Are herpes blood tests accurate?

There are several tests that are used to diagnose herpes! Some are more accurate than others, some need be tested more than once! Any Suggestions here?

It appears that the accuracy depends a lot on exactly WHICH specific type of blood test you had! You may need to look at your test results, or contact your doctor to find out which type you had! Some tests look for one type of antibody! Other tests look for another! Some are very accurate very quickly! Others take a while! Id suggest that you either a) read up on all this and determine what you situation is, or b) read up on all this and then get retested now that you know which test to look for or c) just get retested to be sure!Good luck!

    Blood tests will not identify a sore or its position, but an accurate blood test could be used to help diagnose herpes in people who do not get sores and in people
