The first outbreak tends to be the worst! Im experiencing my first outbreak right now! It burns and itches and is driving me nuts! Ive had it for almost a week and it started out with a few decent sized bumps now I have little clusters of bumps everywhere! It seems that it will get progressively worse, especially until you start taking medicine (I was just diagnosed today and my medicine has cleared up the horrible fever and headaches that have accompanied this)! Its going to be rather painful and then when your sores break open itll be even more tender and really messy! I havent gotten all the way through with it so I cant tell you when it reaches its worst, but Ive read the first outbreak can last between 2 and 4 weeks! I hope this helps!
