I am Australian so I don’t know much about American history. What can you tell me/where can I find information about the Confederates. Any good books you recommend? I want to write a story about a Confederate soldier who fell in love with a YANKEE wench who broke his heart. Any ideas?

I’ve seen the film ‘The Help’ which is set in 1960s America, and black people are treated terribly, would it have been similar in 1950s UK? Or would it have been better or worse?

As much info as possible would be appreciated.

    Thanks :)

Like if you were born in America, you’re obviously American. But how do you find out if you have German, Italian, Irish, Scottish, etc in your blood without getting a DNA test done?

Why will my nursing Instructor at Forsythtech Community College in Winston Salem North Carolina ask me to remove the President of America Picture off my school bag? Does she have the right to do that? Is it because she is a racist or what?

Now I’m asking this because I always see people calling black people ignorant or using racial slurs when we post videos. Shoot I even see black people making remarks but it is worse coming from another race. Doesn’t that make them just as ignorant?

The bad parts of a city are always black neighborhoods.
Do slave masters from over 150 years ago make black people kill each other over crack rocks and wearing the wrong colors?
