How skin cancer fatal?

Some people are stricken with the far more serious–and potentially fatal–form of the disease: melanoma but people generally dont die from skin cancer! ! Any Suggestions here?

    Well, the mutations that ultimately result in cancer can be dormant for 70 years! This means that you may have already started on your tumor! However, you generate cancer cells every day! The CD8 portion of the immune system is constantly on the hunt for cells producing abnormal amounts of proteins or mutated protein (cancer cells)! So, the problem cell(s) could be destroyed and you would never know!By doing that much tanning, for that many years, at your age, you have dramatically increased your chances that a minor mutation could result in cancer simply due to how many cellular replications will have to occur over the course of your live!
