Okay so you know how they say when you’re pregnant if the baby’s heartbeat is faster then 140 its a girl and if it beats slower then it’s a boy? Well how many of you believe this or how many of you has it been true for?

Is a heartbeat of 125 okay for a fetus at 7 weeks gestational age? (So I’d be 9 weeks pregnant)
The nurse said anything between 110-160 was normal, but she kept saying it was low. HELP!!!

im 6-7 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound today. the doctor saw a heartbeat but he said it is somewhat slow. he said the heart beat is about as fast as my heartbeat. is this a good thing or a bad thing?

The heartbeat was 158 and anything over 150 usually indicates a female fetus.

I’ve heard several places thaat if the heart beat per minute of the fetus is greater than 140 bpm than it’s a girl and if it’s lower than 140 bpm it’s a boy. This was true for my mother and a co-worker. Was it true for you?

My mid wife seems to think the faster the heart is, it means its a girl and the slower it is its a boy is this true?

I’ve seen the Dr twice and had a sono done twice and the baby is growing the way that “he” should but his heartbeat is low- according to them– it is about 112- is there a range that is good? Or where should the heartbeat be? Is there anything that I can do to make it go up?

While it seems as though a fetus’ heartbeat is very stable in the early and mid-phases of pregnancy, it appears as though the rate of heart beating accelerates and decelerates toward the later phase of the third trimester. Is this a common occurrence?
