So things that increase either heart rate (eg. exercise, adrenaline or respiratory acidosis) or things that increase stroke volume (eg, digoxin, long term exercise, increased blood volume) Hope that helps. Source(s): Med Student

Cardiac output is the amount of blood pumped out from the heart per minute. Cardiac output is for the function of your heart rate and stroke volume. Look here for more information: http://www.biosbcc.net/doohan/sample/htm... Source:http://answers.ask.com/Health/Diseases/what_is_cardiac_output

Cardiac output is defined by the equation HR (heart rate) x SV (stroke volume). Anything that increases either of these will increase the cardiac output. How does exercise lower your blood pressure in the long term? If exercise increases cardiac output if it increases cardiac output, by means of increasing stroke volume by incr

As peripheral vascular resistance increases, cardiac output and blood flow decrease and blood pressure increases! So far from what im reading, lower resistance increases blood flow, decreases blood pressure and increases cardiac output! Am i right??YesNote that blood flow per minute is cardiac output! Also, stroke volume (SV) is the output of the heart per systole (per contraction)! Cardiac output (CO, or sometimes Q) is the SV x HR (heart rate)From http://en!wikipedia!org/wiki/Cardiac_outputBy simplifying Darcys Law, we get the equation that Flow = Pressure/Resistance and Cardiac Output (Q) = SV × HR

Improve. Cardiac output is defined by the equation HR (heart rate) x SV (stroke volume). Anything that increases either of these will increase the cardiac output.
